There's a new section in the Stuff For Sale forum called Hemmings.com Classifieds.

It's populated from their site using a feed based on these search terms:
Chrysler MOPAR Dodge Plymouth Jeep AMC Studebaker RAM "Power Wagon"

It's what I could think of at the moment, and yeah, I know.. Red headed step cousins shouldn't be in there.

I can add to the search words, too. I'm open to suggestions.

The first pull of the feed brought in some things that are obviously not MOPAR, but they must have some of the search terms in the body of the article.
If that gets out of hand, I can search on the titles only. So far, it's not horrible. I know there is one non MOPAR post in there that will be interesting to some of you. :p

The links for the individual cars don't work. I opened the thread, clicked the link and it went nowhere.

Weird. It IS broken.
It worked when I tested it.

I'll give it another shot later today.

Fixed.

It now loads in all of the ad content.
Unfortunately, it uses the formatting that they provide in the feed. It's not something that I can manipulate on the fly.

But at least you get a picture if there's one in the ad!!

and the link is at the bottom - and it works.

I learned a little bit more about news feeds today.
So, following the rule of "Learn something new every day" I'm now done for the day.
*Sits back and drools.*

Well it certainly fills the "new posts" link! Is there a way I can block this new section from the "new Posts" link?

It was an experiment.
Hopefully, just searching in the titles will provide enough posts.

It really comes down to the way the ads are written.

I took the new news feed out fo the "What's New" results, too.

That change along with a less in depth search on the Hemmings feed should be good.
I've left the Hemmings feed in the What's New search results though.
We'll see if the new search criteria calms things down.
