Hate to be a party pooper BUT............................ a thread going somewhere else mentions a conversation on one of those town hall thingies, a guestion about the challe was answered by a DC rep. ................. the car WILL NOT go into production!
So I guess we will all wait & see! :rolleyes: Rich.
 
ima firm believer that they are gonna do it and they are gonna do it RIGHT! no bastardized Chrysler 'Cuda, no bs 4 doors, just a challenger that does the name justice, unlike that freak of nature that they released in the late 70's-early 80's
 
Theyre gonna build it, the advance buzz is off the charts and they need to try to make up for the Dodge 4dr whatshersistercallit charger forkup that has created a chitstorm publicity wise. You dont release that many photos of a car your not building.
They are pushing police and cab car sales hard to make up for really bad sales right now.

The two main dealers I work with weekly hate to carry them, not enough advertising from the crouts out here and no word of mouth buzz carrying any kind of sales.

Theres a all black one at one of them that looks ok from a distance but it's a v6 car and it's been ther for months.
 
The Hemi powered one I put a few miles on last summer was fun to drive I admit but it just wasnt a CHARGER. The new smaller hemi doesnt impress me at all actually.

So this is thru the grapevine to like the 5th power...:hmmm:
[opinion] If you ever saw Johnny Dangerously, you know how the grapevine works, so I'll believe things when I hear them personally. I think that is one of the best designs Ma had had in 2 decades, if they are smart ( they would not have built the Caravelle), this will hit the streets and will become an instant Baby Boomer icon. [/opinion]
 
DC had been surprising me of late... (think Prowler, Viper, The ne Magnu....I mean Charger) Love;em or hate 'em at least they are building cars with more personality than Ford or GM... HAve you seen the new "GTO" ? Now THAT must have Pontiac guys even madder than the Mag...(I keep doing that..lol) Charger has us. It looks like a Sunfire for Christ's sake!

You raise a good point Mannye. They may be a disgrace to the namesake of the vehicles but yeah at least you know what they are when you see em. Hell I can't tell the GTO from a souped up Bonneville:bwuhaha: well from a distance anyways. Yeah I keep wanting to call it a Magnum sedan too:D
 
Here's the hearsay!


A friend of mine was in one of the DCX town hall meetings where they said they are not producing the car. I said "you have got to be kidding me" and this is the answer to my response:

Nope , Mr Knot and Hilger stated there was no truth to the story . the photos are real for a prototype. when i heard that i made the remark you have got to be kidding that is stupid many around me looked at me .I believe that they heard it in the front roll . then they went on to something else

add it to all the "talk" ;) Rich.
