Need Opinions On Wheels.

Hiding In The Bushes While
I'm going to pick out wheels for my truck and I can't deside.

I want to go with American Racing 767.

But they are like $160 a wheel. For painted steel!

The guy at the tire shop told me to go with Eagle Alloy wheels as just about everything they have is aluminum and around $100 a wheel.

But this is the best I could find.

OR...

All the rest of they're wheels look like crapola.

How bad do they look? Remember I want black.

i like the last set..but will they clear your front hubs..ohh wait youve got a full time unit dont ya..

go aluminum......steel rusts aluminum doesnt

+1 for the pic of the last set. If you're gonna have a beadlock, simulated or not, it really needs to look perportional to the wheel. The second one looks wierd to me with that skinny beadlock.

Someone is really stroking you on the 767’s. We sell those and they are around $100.00 each with the center cap and the lug nuts.

We try and stay with the American racing wheels because they have the best warranty out there but I must admit they have really gone over to the bling bling side of things. They don’t have much that I like anymore.

The ones I put on my 68 Power Wagon were like the last set but they were natural aluminum color and they didnt have the beadlock. The centers were like the second pic though.

If you could get the second wheel with the third wheel's beadlock, you'd be stylin'.

C'mon, XL... we want to see pic with the center broken out. :D

Actually, the vast majority of the hard-core mud boggers around here use aluminum or carbon-fiber wheels... and believe me, if they were gonna break it would happen when they come down on the left front and blow both inner and outer 4340 chrome-moly axle shafts to shreds (which happened this past summer). It didn't.

No no, not worried about the center strength, but I myself have ummmm, errr...."damaged* the outer lips. :D Mostly beyond recognition.... :shifty: Steel is not as painful to bugger on rocks... I doubt mud would matter, it is softer. :D

<cough> XL <cough> so uhm...wheeling eh. ha

alums r fine providing your tire is proportionate to your rim size.

Crap, looks like I'm gonna have to wait a little longer.

I guess the third wheel doesn't come in a size smaller then 16" and the second is $180 a wheel.

The black steel AR wheel is still $160 each.

So I guess my old rusty chrome wagon wheels are gonna get some rustoleum. :D

DW have you checked ebay for em?

Here's those middle wheels for less than $400 BIN http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/185-...ryZ43955QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

These AR 172's are what I had on my Power Wagon. Watch out for this auction though. In the fine print it says it is only for 3 wheels. But at $299, thats $100 each. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/15-X...ryZ43955QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I kinda like these. They're teflon coated too so you just hose em off to clean em. Nice! $400 BIN for the set of 4: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/15-A...ryZ43955QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

No, I've found ebay prices on wheels after shipping is about the same as retail.

There is just about nothing is a 15x8 with 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern. Lots of 20"+ wheels. :doubt:
