3.0 gears and 32" tall slicks?!?!?!

I warned you... when you think about turbocharging, throw much of what you know from the naturally-aspriated world right out the window. He's obviously pushing his converter past its rated stall speed, but it's pretty obvious he's got tall gears in it listening to the dragstrip video. Hence the reason my 4.10s are for sale and I'm planning on using the 2.94s. Turbos want to be loaded!

Man does that thing give me tingly feelings in my happy places....:shifty: I have always loved those Aussie chargers...and that twin turbo 472 stuffed into that car is INSANE!!

YEP!!!

Now I need to really step back and look at the car. I wanted to keep the interior as stock looking as possible. Now with twin EGT and boost gauges, plus the quality oil pressure, oil temp, temp and other necessary gauges within eye sight to monitor the monster under the hood without losing the original look?

I assume by "twin" you mean matching EGT and boost... you really only need one of each.

This is why I like my LeBaron dash. It has eight gauge openings; two large and six small. I trust the factory temp gauge; oil pressure is a fabricated aftermarket unit (partially done) over an original gauge face. The boost gauge won't match the others, nor will the EGT, but they'll be low in the dash anyhow. The fuel gauge is from a B-body and will go in one of the small openings and match the main gauges (more fab work). I will have to relocate my rear-window defrost switch, probably using one from a different model.

Boost I could do in one gauge, but I'd be much more comfortable with separate EGT gauges and probes just incase of a failure. Plus I'll have the other gauges... hmm stock looking from the outside, but retro fit the interior with late model stuff; SRT seats, late model or custom console, custom dash insert, etc.

Knowing the '71-'74 dash as I do, I've got some ideas... are you running AC or Strato-Ventilation? If not, I can give you an idea of how to make some room.

Yup its got A/C, and being in Texas its gonna work! Especially in the summer when its well over 95 and the heat advisory is 110+

I love days like today where it 73 and sunny with a touch of humidity and a nice breeze... :)

You gonna have a console? If so get your self a console mounted cassette player housing, then fill it up with the Boost, Pyro, and other gauges.

I'm thinkin, with the slight redirection for the interior an angled gauge pod in the custom center console may be my best/only choice without cutting the dash or disturbing vital components like A/C, and the stock looking stereo.

If you really feel that twin EGT gauges are required, I'd tell you to consider digital gauges. If you don't mind chopping up new parts, you could easily fit both displays in a small area with the gauge guts located remotely. That's what I have to do with my in-dash "factory" tach--only the movement will fit, the circuit board has to be elsewhere. Why yes, I did chop up a brand-new AutoMeter tach to do it.

I think a couple of EGT readouts, and a digital boost readout would make for a spectacular head-up display reflected off the windshield. I'm full of all kinds of bad ideas with results that would rock. :D

if you have a console and the drive to do it..you could easily make a fill panel that trasitioned from the console to the dash with a bit of foam and f-glass....IMO console cars always needed something to bring the 2 panels together

I'll have to look around on the interwebs to figure out what I'm going to do now. Retro-fitted modern SRT stuff. Seems like the best idea for seating, console I have to find one I like and modify it to fit my needs.

It's going to come down to something I can hide with a mostly stock interior or I go full tilt custom/retro.
