well saturday a friend of mine was down from seattle.....i had him take the alfa gtv6 for a drive...and well i was un-impressed with his driving..he was babying it and not letting it out of the box....sooo i stepped back into the driver seat and let her rip....this is the same friend who GAVE me the gtv6 and the milano for the lloyd project...course last time he drove it the brakes were failing on all 4 corners and it was a peg leg diff with a failing second gear
i laid..pulled into a gas station to change drivers.....i wait for free and clear ZERO cars and bring the rpm's up close to the rev limiter and drop the clutch sliding out of the drive way and up the hill.....lay it thru some corners showing off how the car REALLY drives.....little bit into the run i make a wrong turn and find myself on a deserted road and an intersection....i pull off to the right to 180 the car and go back...well i bounced the limited and dropped the clutch...at 180 the car didnt want to hang a right and pull out soooo that 180 turned into a 540....as soon as i roll out of the cloud of smoke and about 20 feet upp the hill from my fresh tracks a sheriff's car rolls around the corner at the top of the hill..doesnt even bother with his lights and just rolls down to me blocking my path...it was like a scene from a movie..fluid and perfectly timed....30 seconds sooner and i would have seen him before i did it..30 seconds later and he would have been rolling thru some black marks and no proof of what car where did it......
the officer was cool and laid back and simply sited me with a "careless driving" a 240$ ticket that with my record will get cut in half or better :toot:since i havnt had anything on my record for 6 years(seems like 6 years is my mark..every 6 its 1 thing).....he informs me that he could have thrown the book at me and that he has to take some pic's for "evidence" (almost asked if he could send me copys LOL) and sends us on our way
its been raining since then ..but today its dry...soooo i went back up there in "stealth mode"(aka minivan) and snapped 2 great shots...but i noticed that there is now a single pair of tracks thru the middle...that look to me like cop car tires...the spacing and tread left is PERFECT match.....:doubt:....the type of cop he4 seemed to be..10-1 odds he did them
was it worth it....well i think so...ive still got a nice grin on my face ..and going up and taking the pic's restored it LOL :giggedy:
