WE dont care about the preachers daughter- everone knows she puts out. This nonuse trip is another story. Do you have titles? Then theres no excuse that I can come up with except for lack of pts. That or being too picky *anal* to finish them up to driver status. I have about 10 acres and need to drop some trees to make more parking spaces so I understand completely about overstocking. Hopefully you can reach a happy medium and get some windshield time in soon. [smilie=e:[/quote]
actually its a lack of fundage to finish them up. They are all in different stages of "restification". The Duster is getting its chassis' redone for drag use while the 440 is in the machine shop (that one is non-use due to time and effort). The 73 Charger is non-use firstly because the motor/trans went to my 87 dodge ramcharger and it will be restified soon. The 73 RR I came across for $500 and needs to be totally redone, but has solid floors, trunkpan, and framerails (non-matching #'s though, oh well). The 68 Dart GT I just got from a farmer's field where it sat for 15 years ( and I mean just got, like a month ago). The 71 Charger I am getting in August is a runner and will be a driver for me. All have clear titles (to include the duster).
Now as to why they are all not completed:
1) I love collecting them, no matter what shape they are in.
2) I go to college full time and work two part time jobs
3) My wife is a school teacher (really not that much money in that profession)
4) I am guaranteed a very lucrative position when I graduate with my Masters, so now is the time to get the cars cheap, so when I do start work, I can afford to fix them.
5) Lastly, I am in no hurry to get them all done right away. I have a 89 dakota convertible that I drive daily, and the ramcharger is fun with a 400 in it.
hope this was indepth enuff, if not, I am just screwed. [smilie=e: woo hoo, i luv that smilie.
