Acamouflaged car withMichigan manufacturers’ plates and a Maserati chasecar werespotted by Jason Jones in the Los Angeles area.It seems likely that this is a forthcoming Maserati coupe, and it appears tobe similar to the loosely-Chrysler-300C-based Maserati Ghibli.
The Ghibli reportedly started withthe 300C, but it has a different skin and interior,diesel option, heavily reworked gasolineengine, retuned suspension, a different front suspension, and many weight-saving features. Any future Maserati would likely be further differentiated from the Chrysler line to avoidabuse from auto critics.
The car is clearly a coupe, and could conceivably be either a Dodge or Alfa Romeo on the upcoming “Giorgio” platform/architecture as well. (...) →
