I thought this was?

The bay car needs a black top. White top kills it.

Yeah the stripe. Would look sweet with the white gut/top/stripe too, but black is :tats:.

Beautiful car. I'd love it.

But I think the ad is overselling just a tad.
I'd end up tearing it apart and doing it over again if I were to put it in a major judged event.

Is it QQ1 or is it LL1 like the tag says? It irks me to see all that work done and have something done wrong.

It makes me wonder what else isn't quite right...

But I'd drive it!!! Damn it!

QQ1 was the 68 code used for "bright blue metallic", he refers to it as teal in the auction. Maybe he's color blind.

exactly... but he can read a fender tag I assume.. which says LL1

The way I see it - he just left room for bargaining the price down.

So, who can loan me $48,000 :D

A couple things I noticed right away was the "spatter" paint used on the inside of the quarters and there is no spare-tire hold-down bracket. (Probably means the trunk floor was replaced) :hmmm: On the 'verts the spare is mounted behind the right, rear wheel. Not in the center, because of the top-well.

And those ugly-ass yellow plugwire gotta go.:(

"the under side still retains is factory under coating as we did not want to over restore the car so you could still have some fun driving it"

That seems to be a questionable statement now huh?
and there seems to be some horizontal lines running behind that spatter paint - as in skim coat..

I hate to be ripping on another guy's car but I also hate bad ads - intentional or otherwise. They just bug me.

Very nice but sounds like he wanted to build a nice looking driver not a show quality restore so WTF is it going for so much, looks nice IMHO the white and bright blue looks good togather. But 68 R/Ts looks better

What kind of wheels you have on your's r/t? What did it come with?
Cast valve covers get the trash can too.

After spending all my $$ re-doing the car, I didn't have the extra $600 for new rims. So, I came up with the idea to resurrect the Cragar SS's that I had. First a sandblast, then a quick rattle-can flat black, boneyard Blazer trim rings and aftermarket spinners. Walla, $50 and new wheels with an oldtime classic look.;)

According to body tag and build sheet, it came with steel wheels and dog-dish.

I run cast covers because I hate oil leaks  , everything else underhood is "as built"
