My New Ride.....

Hi again everybody. I'm excited! This morning we put a deposit down on an '08 Jeep Compass. My ol' '97 Caravan is starting to get shabby, although it still runs well, but has over 250,000 K on 'er now. My Dad recently passed away, and left me a small inheritance, and he did want to buy me a new vehicle (although there was no way I would have let him then), so he would be happy. It's the small 4 cyl. (2 ltr) and not 4WD, but I don't need that. Does anybody have any experience with a Compass? I test drove it this morning.......I was a little concerned with the small engine, but it is peppier than I expected. A little sluggish on acceleration, but I am also used to the 3.3 V6, so of course there's no comparison. With the price of gas skyrocketing, I wanted to get back to a 4 cyl, and have really liked the looks of the Compass for the past year or so. And it is the awesome Surf Blue Pearlcoat colour! I could only find about 3-4 in that colour when seaching Auto Trader.com, and it was pretty local to us. Luck of the draw. The colour really sold me.
Anyway, what'dya all think? Good move? (I hope?) :shifty:

Nope, just the 2.0 or 2.4 litre gas....this one is the little one. AND, I just discovered yesterday that it is a 6 spd OD....and it goes good when ya shift it!
All the fun of a stick without the clutch. COOL!

The colour is what caught me. Almost did a double take when I saw it on the lot. It is "Surf Blue Pearlcoat", or, Mike likes to call it "Reach-Out-And-Grab-Ya Blue". LOL!
