dustergal
I have serious issues, so I'm
Earlier today we took the Duster out for a real good shake down (with the new 3,500 converter and fresh 727 with nifty shift kit). At first I took it easy cruising around the block a couple times just to make sure I had the feel of everything, with my husband in the passenger seat.
Until we found a nice deserted section of road.
He told me to stop, ratchet the shifter down to 1st, and nail it. Of course I was happy to oblige. And the old Duster went sideways. My husband just sat there while I brought her back around, and to top it all off it barked the tires easily on every shift, even 2nd to 3rd. And that was with me shifting at only 4,500 rpm instead of the usual 5,800.
Dang that was fun. And the funniest part was my husband just calmly sitting there like nothing was happening. I suppose he had faith that I could keep it under control and not kill the two of us (or he was scared shitless but I kinda doubt that.
)
Later he asked if I was nervous when it came around on me, and I said nope. And I really wasn't. I don't know if that is a good thing or not.:wtf:
All in all, it was a very happy Mopar day. :giggedy:
