MP A-body Subframe Connectors On Sale!

Don't buy 'em if you have a 340 A-body. You will wish you hadn't.

Anything I've purchased from MP in the past 10 years has been overpriced junk that they mis-represent & then refuse to stand behind.

Pure and simple. You have been warned.

Well, I know now! :D

I just saw them on sale and thought I'd pass it along.

My MP Timing chain tentioners work great and are decent quality.

It says very clearly in the MP catalogue that those subframe connectors will not fit convertibles. What it does not say is that 340 cars (particularily 4 speeds) typically come with the same torque boxes found on convertibles.

They do not fit on cars equipped with torque boxes unless you cut a major portion of the back flange away, making the "bolt - in" option impossible and welding them in questionable....

By the time you cut & hack & weld the things in, you are wayyyyyy further ahead just making the things yourself from some square tubing.

....Don't ask me how I know.....actually - go ahead - ask.

Oh - and they wouldn't take them back.

Or maybe you want to know about the pentastar logo speedometer with the chevvy speedo cable input on the back....

Or the mis-threaded extra-long wheel studs.

Sorry - I just found your reaction funny is all.

IMO, Mopar Performance is a lame imitation of what Direct Connection was doing during the late '70s/early '80s.

Back then, it seemed someone actually gave a shit.

Nowadays, it seems to be only about filling Herr Daimler's coffers - quality & service be damned.

yeah the cam i got from em was junk as well..the company has litteraly shit itself...from a welders standpoint those connectors look like shit and lack strength
