Moving question.

:D No I'm not moving and I'm not posting asking for help moving....well not exactly. Ok I live in the U.P. of Michigan and my stuff is still sitting in a storage unit in Oregon. I don't have near the money it would take to fly out there, get a U-Haul and drive it all back so I tried this place called http://pods.com They offer a great service that would more than take care of my needs at a decent price but, they don't deliver to the U.P.:doubt: Anyone know of another service like this I could use that is fairly inexpensive?? I can't really say I wanna keep shelling out $40 a month for my unit in Oregon but I don't wanna get rid of any of it either. *sigh* Any ideas??:confused: Last time I had a move this big my dad was still in the Army and we had everything shipped from Japan to Cali. and I was too young to care how it all worked:( It's roughly a 5'x8' unit and I only have 1/2 of it full if that helps at all.
 
i can attest to the size of stuff and a cleaver packer could pack it all into a single pickup load or full size van..i told ya bro check out a cost of a uhaul toyota PU..and a bus ticket
 
Uhm you guys seem to forget I can't afford a cross country road trip. Lodging, gas, food....etc...nor can I afford the 2 weeks or so off work to do it all. Just looking for a moving company or shipping company that would be able to load it up for me, transport it to where I am now and call it good. I know such companies/places exist I just don't know how to go about looking one up:doh:
 
Can you get it into a contatiner that would fit on a car hauler and see when Mark Nixon is up that way next...????

Just thinking outside the container, here...

bro how do you figure 2 weeks?...anyway you figure something out and if need be ill pack it all out of the contaioner...but im still kicking your arse for not comeing down here personaly

Lol @ 69.5. Well I will still come out to visit sometime, just don't know when. I'm not in any reall hurry to get my storage here.....well I am but only cause I want it lol. But $$$ is tight and this shipping thing could take a while to save for as it is.....unless I can get a killer deal on a 1 way ticket and U-Haul doesn't decide to bend me over and I can get the time off work I could still swing it but the chances of that are slim at the moment. Yeah I thought of Mark Nixon but it was already too late....damnit :D Just trying to gather ideas for now so I know how to budget for it and all that crap.
 
If you decide to go U-haul, it's cheaper to rent a truck local to you and get unlimited miles. One-way rentals are WAAAAYYY more expensive. Just don't run into trouble too far from home. I'm not sure how that would work out.
