I believe this guy will be lucky to get 20 grand for it, unless he finds a sucker with more money than brains.

I...don't ...know...

With the almighty Hemicuda vert 4 speeds going for 5 million... that's right... 5 million American dollars, why is it strange that a BARRACUDA with the monster 440/4speed combo not be worrth, say 1.5 at the alcohol-soaked millionare's club auction called Barrett-Jackson?

You should have seen the '70 440-6 challenger I sold for 10 grand. No engine, automatic, not a convertible, and RUSTED NEARLY IN HALF. Not only could you see through some of the roof pillars, but the transmission crossmember was rusted completely in two on the driver's side. The left front of the car would not stay up off the bumpstop because the torsion bar was twisting the rusted crossmember instead of holding the car up. It lasted 25 minutes on ebay, then someone clicked buy it now. This guy will get WAY WAY more than 20 grand for his car. I don't personally think they're worth all that, but the market will in fact support it now.

700k now - reserve not met
I'm going 950k

The car v8440 sold will be flipped 4 more times and be 100k before anybody even lays a broom and dustpan to it.

see now if that were paesos I'd be all over it :bwuhaha:

That is in rough shape for it to be sold for a million, I know manye stated such rides are going for 5 million. Still, paying more money just to buy the car than to restore it. I mean, a fine looking paint job thats closest to the original is like what, $20,000? $30,000? And the car is (currently) going for $700,000.

But I'm just a newbie at this whole car restoring thing...but if anyone wants to know how to gut out a 1982 Buick Lesabre Limited 2-door edition, let me know and I can tell you all about my adventures, and mis-adventures [smilie=J:

Factory paint jobs on those cars wasn't anything to jump and shout about. So, I'd guess an original quality paint job would probably run a few thousand at the most.

Yeah, so I'm off by about $10,000ish. I just remember watching one of the Barret-Jackson auction things for about 15 minutes and they had like a Challenger on there, and the guy went so far as to replicate the overspray of primer and under coating on certain parts of the car "so it looked factory correct down to every aspect of the car"...please:rolleyes:

If I buy a car, I intend to drive it, be it for a race car or a daily driver, I'm going to drive the thing.
