That bottom car is what the Mach 5 was designed after....take a GOOD look at that car and the Mach5 it's the same car;) Only with a slightly different nose obviously.

actualy if ya look at one of the previous versions i TOTALY belive that..since thats the amx 2 ..look at 3 and if you can find it 1

OK now that I think about it the AMX 3 does sound more correct.....either way the Mach 5 is an AMX:giggedy:  Always knew there was something more about that car I liked!!!

Maybe if AMC had actually produced something like that, they would still be around. That's a very nice looking car (the amx 2) and that first one looks like a Gremlin with an extended wheelbase...it changes the look from "only a mother could love" to pretty cool.

That AMX 2 is a very similar design to the 72 De Tomaso Pantera that was co-produced by Ford, with a little 69 Mangusta line treatment of the rear quarters. I would venture to guess that De Tomaso or one of his junior designers drew that up.

Just the fact that there is a DRIVEABLE version of the Mach 5 (granted it doesn't have all the goody toys) makes me all tingly inside:shifty: [smilie=::
