I had an FK5 roadrunner in high school, so I find myself on the lookout for them in case I ever find a decent one again.

Way to go, dumbass

Yeah sure it's goobered up here and there but nothing that I wouldn't be interested in fixing, at the right price. I don't understand why people don't like FK5.

To me the cars that add the post but don't change the roof line (62-63 and 68-70) are the best. I thought about welding posts into my current road runner - I had the parts for that so it would've been fairly simple but I decided not to raise questions about an RM23 VIN on an RM21 body.

That car would be so much prettier in the original color.

I like it better in single stage and think a black vinyl top really sets it off. The FK5 car I had was pretty much loaded for a 4-speed, but had no stripes on it at all.

Is that rocker trim supposed to be there? Mine had WW moldings which were apparently not factory original. I had it from about 77-79.

I have always loved FK5, many many moons ago Iooked at a 70 Sport Satellite 383/4bbl, 4spd car in FK5 with a FK5 interior...can't recall if it was a bench or buckets/console...super cool car! Think some low brow troglodyte got it and turned it into a TX9 GTX clone. 😔

I like single stage better for any color that can truly accomodate it. Certain colors, it just ain't happening. As far as the stripes, I think they were all optional but if not, they could definitely be deleted.

I'm not sure, but there was an A87 option package for RM21 that included the B-post moulding and a few other trinkets. A lot of that brightwork was available standalone too, though--my Challenger had wheel opening and rocker mouldings but no group or package (it was not a Rallye). I didn't see a data tag for the one I posted; I just did an image search. Harder to find a decent picture of a K5 Chicken tin-top than you think.
