MIA for a while...

My internet connection is down at the house and has been since Friday evening. Sooo, I've only been able to get online at work...



...or by using other nefarious methods![smilie=i:

A while back my neighbor was trying to setup his DSL connection in his house. He needed a way to connect his family's two laptops and the home desktop computer to the internet at the same time but only had the one line coming from the DSL modem. Long story short, I sold my neighbor my wireless router and two PCMCIA laptop B/G wireless receiver cards for his laptops. I set everything up for him and tested all the computers and connections and everything was working fine. I also told him that the reason I switched from the wireless router to the cabled router was that anyone within signal range could just jump on the signal and get online through his connection if he didn't setup the port security password...

... I guess he never bothered to set the password. At least I don't try to download massive files or stream videos while I'm pirating his internet connection.:shifty:

Hopefully my broadband connection will be fixed soon. The speed is much better than his DSL and I won't have to sit the computer at the kitchen table to get close enough to recive the signal either.:dance: So, Anyway, I'll be a little scarce around here till this situation gets straightened out.
