METAL DETECTING / TRESURE HUNTING ? anyone do it ?

anyone here do any metal detecting / tresure hunting for a hobby ? im thinking about getting a metal dectetor to dig up some old stuff and sell it for extra $$ . here in western pa. there are alot of old farm lands , settelment homesteads .ect / gone now but i know where they are -were .
i like finding stuff and reselling it but lately i have found anything good . so im going under ground

so what is a good metal detector that is resonably priced .

I used to love doing it, found many things. Stick with White's & Fisher, you won't go wrong.

Always wanted to try it since I like finding old stuff but can't afford the detector. I remember when I was a boy, I went out hunting with my dad and found an old ice skate blade without the use of a detector. I think I may still have that somewhere but I thought it was the coolest thing at that age.

Go hit the soccer, football and baseball fields after kid games, lots of dropped change scattered everywhere according to a guy I lived next for a few years.

Yep, a good detector is expensive.

thats a good idea , but the first place i want to go is a place deep in the woods where i played as a kid , old abandon houses nothing was left but the stone foundations and all grown over with trees , the last time i was there was 25-30 years ago then there is an old 1 room school house aboot 3/4s of a mile away from there cant be anything left of it now it was rotting and falling down back then .
