metal cleaning prep for paint . what should i use ?

once i get the patch panels welded in the firewall and the udercoating off of the inner fender area , what should i clean the metal with to get it ready for paint ?
i used AIRCRAFT stripper in some areas of the engine bay and alot of it plus KEROSENE & PAINT THINNER/MINERIL SPARITS for the under coating on the inner fenders .
i want to be sure im on bare metal before primming & paint . so what steps & products should i take and use to clean the metal ?

Eastwood sells stuff called Metal wash, I've had good luck with it & it will hold bare metal quite a while from flash rusting.
POR15 has metal ready, but on a humid day I've had metal flash while the stuff was still on there, so I guess I'm saying if you don't have to etch for por 15 forget it!
Pre paint I use ppg's acrilly clean, D333 I think, I can check that # for you if you need it, but that won't hold the metal.
If you used all those chemicals I'd wash it really good with soapy water, rinse the shit out of it & then metal wash it!.
