MAXIMVS was sold tonight as a roller for a good price. I'm keeping the KB 528 for a separate sale, should be able to get a good price out of it. The new project is an original 4 speed 1964 Plymouth Savoy. When I'm done with it, it will have a hemi and a 4-speed, the shock tower has been turned around to accommodate a hemi. The car is mini-tubbed, rust-free and ready for paint of my choice. I should have it in my garage early next week sometime and I'll get some pics up. I'll be street driving on a regular basis and racing it on occasion. The guy who bought MAXIMVS is going to retain the MAXIMVS gold leaf graphics and paint and will just drop in his own engine and go racing. Soon MAXIMVS will be in Georgia and carrying on its race heritage.

Huh? :wtf:

Didn't see that coming. Have fun with your new project, being able to drive on the street and race certainly has it's benefits. [smilie=::

Really...

Well I've found that most of the fun comes with the building of a car.I've been doing this stuff non stop for 33 years and the building is what I look forward to most of all.
Glad your starting on another one...

Yep, the fun is in building 'em. I went off on a tangent with MAXIMVS and basically ended up with a car that I would only race a few times a year. I got caught up with the race build and when I was finished, realized that it was just not what I wanted anymore. So, I thought long and hard and concluded that the 63 would have to go. During this time, the 64 became available and it is exactly what I needed.

The 64 is NSS legal for a hemi. I have wanted to build a hemi car for years but the 63 isn't NSS legal with a hemi. The 64 will serve me well as a car I can build for the street as well as occasional use in the NSS races I do attend. I'm not looking for a barn burner, 10.00 - 11.00 is fine with me. I can do that easily with a good build and also make a durable low maintenance street car. And so it came to pass. I should be picking up the 64 in a few days, I'll get some ppics up when I get the car.

MAXIMVS will stay with me until early November and then it goes to a good home. The new owner will campaign the car as MAXIMVS and the original paint and graphics will remain on the car, he likes 'em. I'll be separating the KB wedge engine from the car in the next week or so and it will be sold.
