MAXIMVS is going bye-bye....

for real this time. I can't pass up a local 64 Savoy in perfect shape that has come to my attention. I've had my fun with the car, now it's going to be someone elses. I am going back on the road to work and I just won't have the time to race for a long while. If you don't race a racecar, it'll deteriorate fast. The 64 can be driven for fun and to my new home base, plus with a few mods it'll run D/NSS and still be streetable. It's going to be hard to let it go, but it's time. MAXIMVS needs to be raced on a regular basis and will make someone a great racecar.

Too bad its gotta go. I've seen MAXIMVS on line for sale & feel sad everytime i've seen it. You put alot of time into it.

So, i'll race twice as much for both of us.:dance: I'd love a repeat of last years results for TEAM 440. it was quite a year.

It's a great car and deserves more race time than I can give it now. I'll be back in the saddle again but not for a few years I fear. Race on brother.
 
Darn if things were different for me I would be loading it on a trailer tonight. I hope it is not still avail after I get out of this mess but if it is... I love that car one of the best looking post cars ever made.. So job change?
 
Yep, going back to contracting. I'm losing ground here, bummer but that's the way it is. I need to make hay while the sun shines, know what I mean?
 
Wow that really sucks man. Hope you don't mind but I went to that site you mentioned for MAXIMVS and saved a bunch of pics of the car...new desktops for my computer:dance:

on the road contracting ? :confused: are you in retail construction ? :huh:
 
Jeeze, that car feels like part of all of us....it kinda grew up around us. :( So are yah moving again? :)
 
That's too bad...plenty of work in that car.

I guess as long as you'll have something to drive it might not be too bad.
any pictures of the new car ???
 
The 64 sounds like the best way to get your fix now, but like everyone else, I'm totally bummed about Maximvs leaving. Somehow, I'm sure the 64 will turn out equally cool. Good luck!:bravo:
 
Gosh I feel for ya snook, hopefully the new owner knows as much as you do mechanically speaking and will treat it with great respect and honor your hard time and work. Best of wishes for you--

MAXIMVS is not going bye-bye, but he is going into hibernation [smilie=:: . He will sleep for now..............
 
Thanks for the good thoughts folks. I just can't do it right now. I'm still picking up the 64, it'll be tight though. I'll post pics when I get them, will be a while though. I'll be hitting the road heavy from mid-May till who knows how long, but I'll stay in touch.
 
a good car is family after some period and to sell it is like putting your best pet to sleep
