Had it flat bedded to the alignment shop and then drove it to the muffler shop to seal everything up.
It was probably the most satisfying car moment in my life. The savoy drove great and is well on the way to a revived life on the nations roads. I get a large amount of satisfaction when I save a car from the melter. In this case, I recreated a 1964 race hemi Savoy. I know that when I'm gone from this earth that the car will live on in someones care and I find solace in that fact. The car was created when the USA was strong and hopeful and I hope that the USA will once again attain that state.
All that said, In short, it was a BLAST to drive. The 472 hemi has some Wheaties, It's pig rich now but I'll tune that out of her after I get some seat time and tuning time. The 4 speed 18 spline hemi trans shifted great and was a joy to shift. I plan on driving the wheels off this car.
