I needed new headers and I'm tired of cutting my hands up trying to change plugs. Standard big tube headers are too close to the steering linkage, trans and are generally a PITA to take off or put in. The Doug's fenderwell headers bolt together in sections and are easy to disassemble and give me plenty of clearance all the way around. The Doug's are a lot easier to check for header bolt tightness as well. They are superior to my old Hooker super comps in every way (I had to already cut the fenderwells before to clear Hookers; the one tube that goes outside the frame rail, so cutting the rest of way was not a big deal to me), construction is great and you can see the quality. They also look good on nostalgia pieces.

That is georgeous. It it should run like hell.:bravo: Nice to see the 'fenderwell hedders going in. Sure makes life easier, flow better, and gives the car a nice nostalgic look.........

Nope, things are tight around the hacienda and I've been saving my pennies. Now I have to order up a new engine plate as I had to hack up the old one as a fit up piece. Also have to move the fuel lines around, hope I don't have to replace any braided stainless stuff. Brake lines have to be rerouted as well and I know that most of it will end up in the trash. Be a few weeks before I can start to finish out the car.
