Here ya go :) :
  • The KB block should be back from Treasure Coast Machine (TCM) this week (final check out).
  • ISKY solid roller cam & kit should be here this week.
  • Eddy MW heads are at Modern Cylinder Heads for CNC port this week: the heads valve job and spring setups will be done by TCM in Stuart.
  • Based on input from a friend of mine (Marshall of Campbell Enterprises; a straight shooter), I'll be using a Carillo K1 rotating assembly (crank & rods). I 'm way over budget, and as much as I'd like to run a Callies, I just can't afford it.
  • PoppaJ is sending me an INDY 440-25 XRAM intake (both tops).
  • The carbs will be Fugly Diamondback 800 AFB's.
  • Paul at Turbo Action in Jacksonville FL is supplying the 8" converter and 1965 PB slip yoke trans. He's local and I trust him. He's doing the primary PB trans and I'll be doing the spare. Paul is installing a non-low band apply RMVB and one of the salvageable parts out of the other tranny, a TCI billet steel drum. That's all I'll say about that, but I hope that it will last more than 20 runs this time before it pukes its guts out.
  • Milodon gets the nod for a 10QT oil pan with dual swinging pickup.
  • I picked up an ATI spaced balancer, so my TCI Rattler will be for sale. The TCI is just too close for comfort to the Jesel belt drive cam adaptor.
  • I'm also contemplating heavy metalflake american flag graphics added to the paint job, from the bottom of the doors through the quarter panels. I'm thinking of adding tribute graphics to the deck lid and striping the roof as well.
The goal is to make the car ready for the 04/09 NMCA NSS races at Bradenton. Hopefully the car will be ready for testing this fall :bravo: .
