In an interview with Bloomberg News, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne said the planned spinoff of Ferrari could take place in July of this year.
Speaking with Bloomberg’s Matt Miller, Marchionneadded that the initial public offering process should be quick.
In separate comment, Marchionne told Bloomberg News’ Mark Clothier that he could sell all the Ferrari shares that will be floated on the market “before he has time to finish his bagel.”
The current plans call for a public sale of about 10% of Ferrari shares with 80% being distributed to FCA shareholders. The remaining 10% of Ferrari is owned by Piero Ferrari, Enzo Ferrari’s only living son.
