This year will go down as the worst ever. The river crests from the Assinaboine to the west and the Red River from the south haven't even crested yet. I'm lucky to have all my family far enough away from these areas. Growing up as a kid I can remember visiting some of these yearly affected areas and it is scary. They have made a lot of floodways over the years, but this year is proving that they may have to do more for the future.

My Sister and her family live in Brandon which is far from the worst of it, yet the pics she's sent are pretty amazing. The School she teaches in has been evacuated as well...
