MAKE IT STOP

When an unstoppably bad idea meets an immovable lack of execution, something's gotta give. In this case, it was my brain.

What the hell is this thing? It's one of those "crawl around awhile and find all the problems" listings. Mental-telepathy shifting, flow-through backlight ventilation, hole where a dash emblem once sat... I'd like to say the dreadful mismatch of old & new is the least of its problems, but quite the opposite.

Mind bending. At first I thought it was a late model with the grille and rear panel, then I noticed the sharp crease down the side and my head exploded.

if they worked the panels a bit...IE note the body line under the stripe at the nose...and rolled the pans and such i think it would look pretty damn good
IE retain the OE body roll under and rocker lines...i think it would look similar to the SCCA prepped cars

I agree more work would've made it better. That rear valence/bumper looks like they just stuck a piece of flat material on it to cover things up.

It seems apparent that the quarters were rusty, otherwise why would one replace a heavily-curved section with flat sheetmetal? Even the Axis Challengers are curved in that area. My buddy did better on the caved-in quarter of his '74 'Cuda--when we were 16. Fixing that quarter was a tedious, hard lesson regarding using the correct lug nuts.

No amount of work could save the looks of this particular disaster. I wonder what exactly happened to the taillights.

of did he drive over his rear wheel too?..did that on my 69 very early into getting my DL..acorns on mags BAD

i was luck, it was off a set of l60 bias plys..so it just softly rolled the lowwer quarter..and was very easily fixed

Guy probably got the car cheap because it was rearended...then decided to embark on this journey to abomination! Hence the flat rear quarters and the horrible rear valance, etc.
