Magneti Marelli sale-merger is official

FCA has been planning to release Magneti Marelli, the parts maker it has owned for many years, for quite some time. There have been rumors of sales talks with several different companies, but none seemed to match what FCA thought the unit, which includes a state of the art lighting division, was worth.
Today, the announcement finally came, and the actual deal is not one of the past headline-grabbing options.
