looking for insperation!

ok everyone im wanting to dig back into the lloyd

what i need for ALL of you is dash/console insperation ideas...i want something that feels like a modernized 50's/60's setup with a FLOWING dash to console with the console running up behind the front seats..much the same way it did on the back seats of the 67 chargers with some italian influance?

i have only a small handfull of designs that will go into the console/dash

3 lcd screens as mirrors to be semi hidden behind smoked lexan
my button/switch/shift pod is rough built and will fit into ANY design as its all a 5 inch wide 24inch long panel....
as for guages i REFUSE to have that aftermarket guage look...you know what im talking about....so no autometers or the like(tho good designs with them are an option as i may be able to use "part" of the design)

everything else is up in the air but i want the whole unit to FLOW..10-1 odds it will be made out of a thin light steel skeleton wraped in some polyester and them glassed over...simply put i need all the ideas and pics i can get my hands on!!!!

if you can surf and find pic's POST EM..if you can scetch up some cool ideas POST EM..if you can only think it and describe it DO IT!!!

the picture in my head when you were describing was 70 mustang.

are you concerned about symmetry like a 57 chevy or aforementioned mustang? ya know where it looks like you could just move the steering column and guage pod over for right hand drive, which they did

actualy yes i want it a flawless mirror from side to side......actualy if i ever happen across a RHD alfa rack i very well may convert it to RHD..and on this car all id need to do is move the column and pedals which is a CAKE walk!

70 mustang huh..intresting...too much overhung lip as i recall ..never seen a consoled mustang..anything like a 60's t-bird setup?

see i like how the console to dash flows on the bird..its an ugly unit but the way the 2 units flow together is great..the shape...not so much

the aluminum treatment on the mustang setup is a yes..i plan to have 1 piece of aluminum running from end to end of the console and more on the dash

the overhang lip on the mustang i cant stand tho

That's exactly what I was thinking, too. Take the lines of that dash/console combo, then make them flow. Sort of like a cockpit. DCF got it with the Vette as well.
