Look what I saw tonight

I was driving my son into town to take him to the doctors and along the highway I had seen this moose, along with her baby. In the second picture you can't see it very well, but it was hiding underneith it's mother. It was so cute, I had to turn around to get a picture.

Right on! I have never seen a moose in person before but I hear they are HUGE!!!!! A guy I used to know in Oregon called em Swamp Donkeys.

LOL...that's funny. I haven't seen one up that close before. Other times I've seen them they were so far distant I couldn't get the full aspect of how big they really are. Even though it was neat to see, I'm glad I was in my SUV. I hear they are just as bad as bears when it comes to protecting their young. I've lived around here for most of my life, and I admit I get scared walking through the woods. :toot:

Only saw one moose in my life up in northern Minnesota, totally facinating.

Great pic. I saw a mom and son here in Co was they look so strange with there little legs vs heavy bodies. I got to within 10 feet of mom for some good pics. See what you can see if you are not scared to walk in the woods.
