here it is !

not too bad i have to go get a trans in the morn for it .
but it has a 8 3/4 in it and a 340 i found a converter for it too ( cast crank) :(

it needs some floor pans and a bunch of TLC

i should have it running in few days and get to drive it.

just got a new trans. the whole day at junk yards but managed to score one out of a 73 van. the fluid was nice and bright red and had no leaks. 125.00

im gonna put new seals in and change the filter i should be good to go.

the old trans that was never installed has a b&m shift kit in it i was thinking about installing in there but i think ill just get the car up and running i can do the valve body in teh car if i decide that i want it in there.

gonna be a long day tomorrow but worth it :)

It is alive !!!! it's alive !!!!

this car sat for two years!! after i put the trans in it i pulled the coil wire off and spun the motor over for a little while. put it back on set the choke and it fired up like it was just driven yesterday!!!!

no smoke !!! no knock, no misses (really suprized since it had the old gas in it)

purrs like a kitten. took round the block and shifted through all the gears checked the brakes and all of the lights ( had one bad bulb) .

dang i never get this lucky!!! no just to get her all cleaned up and looing good. i need to lower the front end some and raise the back to level it out and it will look pretty nice.

it needs some floor pans and trunk extensions. i dont think they repop many parts for this year yet if they do i might keep the lil runner.

ill post more picts whne i get it all cleaned up.

lol im already getting offers on the dang thing!!!

have a little wire issue in the main harness.

but all is well :) might need to replace it i might have a spare from my first runner.

What kind of cleaner did you use on the wheels??? ( gotta get me some of that stuff!) [smilie=e:

uh.... it is that new polish called draglite in a bottle.
but , it is not cheap hehe.

they cleaned it up quite a bit. i buffed out the old crappy paint job the best i could i might touch it up some for this year. but, i have a few more little issues to resolve with the car.

some weenie decided that the steering colum didnt need a snap ring and messed up the colum but i was able to save it thanks to a 73 charger doner car that a friend of mine is junking .

i got nice am/fm radio out of it and the wiper arms. im gonna get the windshield and the hood hindges off from it too. next week.

im gonna get the big block K memeber out of it too just incase :)

i need a insterment cluster housing that is not all chopped up so i can put my new radio in it. so that is where my search for parts is for now im not having much luck here locally. if i have to i guess ill get it from E-Rip.

Hey Superbee, how much did you pay for the car? I've got a '73 Sebring Plus I'm tryin to get rid of and don't know what to ask for it. It's reletively strait. It's got a 3 year old 318 but it's got a bad tranny (slips until it's warmed up but it runs an drives) and doesn't have any power steerin at this time (needs new pump) LOL anything under 15 mph is pretty brutal!

i paid 1200.00 for this one but, i couldnt hear it run. so that knocked the price down quite a bit. i would have maybe topped out at 2000.00 if i i could have driven it home. but not more than that. why are these cars always so cobbled up. i spend more time undoing the bad things to them that prior owners have done to them .

i feel like an abused mopar shelter :)

this car needs a bunch of body work. it looks pretty good in these picts. but it is rough. needs quarters, rockers floors doors and a few other things to make it anything more than a cool driver.

the interoir is rough as well but, all there.

i have to say that the motor was everything that it should be , except i had to put a carb on it .

so if your car is pretty solid i wouldnt base what i paid for this car on your asking price. and this car is a road runner. i know it is the same thing except the vin and it has a bittle more motor than a 318. so..... it is very hard to say. but if it is any kind of decent shape i wouldnt take no less than what i paid for mine.

these cars are starting to get desirable but quarters are not being made as of now. but laysons told me they hope to be shipping them in august of this year. i would say that if your car has good floors and quarters then that would be the most important selling point for the 73 74 runners and sebrings.

the less rust ya have the more you could ask. i would think. good luck . hemmings and E-bay might help you out more than i can . but ebay tends to be on the high side IMHO.

another note.....

the same day i got this car a bud of mine told me that he had a 440 70 duster totally rust free. that he wanted to get rid of for 1500.00 i was pretty bummed. because this car was a super nice car with a 67 440 and 727 in it he got it in a package deal . and he didnt have room for it and for me i could of had it with any parts i needed to complete it . he was just tired to of looking at it and it was way too nice to part out.

so i like my runner but im kinda sick over that deal because he sold it a few days later to another friend. oh well at least it is getting loved :)

Sold a 72 sport sattelite a few yrs back to my neighbor minus drivetrain for a grand, right rear was getting rotten and the interior was out of a cordoba. Helped him stuff a 383 in it and he already had a runner hood so if yours is a running vehicle that might just need a trans service to be a driver I would hang tough at 2. [smilie=e:
