Life Decision...

My mommy said I couldn't so
Hey Fellas!!
It's been a while I've been here and i got the biggest reason for it. Well screw all that explanation stuff and I'll just get to the point. I joined the Navy. I finished basic training (bootcamp) a week ago and now I got some room to breathe. This will probably be most stupid or the smartest decision I will ever make. The main reason why I joined was to get funding for college. There was no way I was going to make it with tuition assistance [smilie=e: . Hope fully these 4 years go by fast. Well that it as fellas!! Just like to let you know. Oh yeah, as far as my Ass-pin, it's hibernating at a local storage garage so it could stay nice and away from the elements. I'll still be checking this site no doubt about that!! Moparut forever!!! Whooo!!! Peace...

Good for you Danny!!!. Not a bad decision at all in my book. Do your best and maybe you'll like it more than you think right now. I thought the navy was drawing down or is it the older guys their trying to get out?.

Yea, they're doing the "right sizing" thing this time. "Draw down" was so last decade. LOL

I did a 4 yr hitch back in the 70s. It sucked at the time but it got me out from under my parents roof and I got to see the world some too. Just dont re up.

Good for you Danny. I have two buddies that said they would only be in the military for years. They both joined in'91 and are both still in. They love it. Mike is a sergeant in the marines and Jason is a sergeant in the air force.

Great news:)

I did not go into the USAF until I tried all else, I was 23, the most impotant day of my life was picking a career have you picked one yet?

Good luck, thanks for doing your part.

Good job Danny. It will be a good decision if you make it one. :)
Be tough...and make things happen. Make yourself proud!!!

Yup, good choice, make the best of it! My brother was a 20 year veteran in the AF and my step brother did a stint in the navy. [smilie=e:
