Jerry Falwell was a Giant of a man among men. he had no fear of going toe to toe with anyone. He stood for what was right and what he thought was right and did not lean when pressure came upon him. Jerry Falwell had a chest that few men have. we should take a lesson from him and be pleased that there was a leader of such strenght and conviction among us..He stood for the Lord and He stood proud and He also stood for the Lord of his life.. a great man fell today but there will be others to fill the gap..Jerry Falwell brought attention of our problems to the nation and opened doors that people would not open and yes made us discuss the problems that were hidden out into the open.. Jerry Falwell was good for us.. he will rest in peace.. why? he was a true child of GOD and that we can not deny.....he stood to be counted and he stood tall.. Wasn't he the one that spouted off some kind of drivel about 9/11 being punishment for the existence of gay people? I may have my televangelists mixed up, I dunno.
 
Wow, that's pretty presumptuous-he basically claimed to know God's reasons for stuff happening. I'd assume that didn't crimp the flow of donations...

As many of you have probably gathered, I don't see as essential the existence of people on tv telling me why God caused this or that and blaming groups of people they don't like for events obviously unrelated to those people. If you can make some logical connection between the event and the people then fine, feel free to do so. If you're gonna tell me that a volcano erupted because some gay guy got his watertight integrity violated by some other gay guy, I'm gonna laugh at you because you're an idiot. More disturbing is the fact that apparently many people actually buy into this stuff. Vote liberal, conservative, or however you want. Let's just leave the 3rd grade magic out of the equation.
 
Yeah I agree with V8440. Falwell was seriously looped in the head man! None of his stuff really made sence to me.
