Went to replace the front pads on the old swinger, and found a stuck piston on the right caliper (inboard). Looked into a rebuild kit, but couldn't get the stuck piston out of the caliper, even with brake pads shoved against the other 3 pistons, and me romping on the brake pedal several times. It just wouldn't give.
Looked online for new calipers and found nothing under $100 US per side. Was kind of interested in some $690 aluminum replacements, but I have better things to spend money on.
Called Lardco and they had a Left one in Kamloops and a right side in Newton... $112 each (plus $65 core charge), but when I went to pick them up, an old friend's Dad was behind the counter, and I asked what his discount was... Ended up paying $77 bucks each
Great success! :giggedy:
