just ordered a flowmaster 3" system

i have a nasty 2" system that has been hacked on forever to the point that it has horrible bends and restrictions. not to mention it was intended for a small block anyway. does anyone know where to get 3" dual tips for cutout rear valance on a challenger? ive heard of them but have had no luck finding a site that sells them. i do have an extra valance without cutouts that i got off that /6 challenger so i can use that if i have to until i find the tips. as always, thanks for any and all info.

yeah tti sells a system too but i think its like 100 bones more. i was pushing it by buying the flowmaster system. if we still had a good exhaust place here in this town i would have bought a couple of good kockoff mufflers and had a 3" system welded. im just trying to get my project moving again and by spending money i am making myself have to work on it. i got headers too [smilie=e:

I bought the TTi system, Mopey has it. ;) It was a nicely put together system.
I was reffering to tips though, I thought they sold em. ;)

wowsa, 386 for a pair. at least they are stainless steel [smilie=e: im glad you found them, thank you. ill have to wait on those bad boys for a bit. did you get the 3" system? how do you like it? i love tti, they have some awesome stuff, if you can afford it [smilie=e:

Yup, got the whole 3" system and ceramic coated headers. Glad I did too, cause it is one hell of a tight fit! Nice stuff indeed. The 68 Charger may have to have some 2.5 TTi thrown on it. ;)

what did you put the 3" system in? i know 3" is overkill for what i think is an ordinary 400 i am getting it so i will not have to upgrade when i build the 496 [smilie=a:
the good thing about the 400 is that it has hard exhaust seats on 906 heads and it has forged slugs. other than that it is pathetic, down to the rv cam. i got a cheapo cam and lifters to try to liven it up a little. 282/292 465/488. yeah its a summit cam kit and i have never used a no name cam before so it should be interesting. 3 inch will be good for the stroker, As TTi stuff is expensive, I bought the 2inch headers now with plans for my stroker build, It will kill some TQ on my 440 but I would not like to buy them twice. FYI the TTi tailpipes look great.

cool. i bought some cheapo headers that will help with the 400 but are too small for the stroker. 1 3/4 with 3" collector and i ordered a straight 3" reducer instead of the 3-2.5. beautiful car you have btw kamstra. i had my shot at a 71 barracuda vert but things that would not put me off now like column shift and rotted floors did then. it was a nice power top, a/c car triple blue. $450 and it was a driver lol. maybe some day i can get my drop top but for now im gonna concentrate on what i already have. i got burnt changing engines on this car and for 10 years i have done next to nothing with it. everyone on this forum has been a real kick in the ass to get me busy and motivated again. nice to be part of the mopar movement again for sure [smilie=a:

Thanks for the kind words. A 74 challenger was my first real car as a kid. I love em. Progress is all good. Keep working on it!
