While a light truck had the highest production increase, cars were the big story when it came to January production at FCA plants in North America.

With the exception of the Chrysler 300 and the discontinued Lancia Thema, orders for every other car were up significantly last month.
Chrysler car production soared 60.4% in January, completely due to orders for the 200 sedan. Schedule cutbacks for the Chrysler 300 and Town & Country dropped the total brand increase to 27.9%.
Dodge’s car total, which dropped 3.4%, was dragged down by the Avenger, which had the highest production numbers of any Chrysler Group car last January. Factoring out the Avenger, orders for current Dodge brand cars increased 64.4% last month. The … (full article) Read the rest...
