I have a little trailer just like that. It hauls my SNOCAT just fine. That thing must be smaller than a mini cooper.

do note that black blown one has been stretched

i finaly have an understanding of why they call them "toy cars"

after some minor inspections lastnight by flashlight ive found that doing a front engine RWD would require a FULL cage just to start with..as the entire car bolts to litteraly a battering ram..theres a 1/4 inch thick steel tube that runs the entire length of the car and EVERYTHING is hung off of it...front or rear impact it would hold its own..heavily loooking into 2.5 or 3.3 rear engine rwd less of a stuctural destroyer and i could keep the stock engine up front in an attempt to balance out the weight of the car a little(and minivans is cheep and plentiful)...pics in a few hours when the sun is actualy in the sky

yes its smaller and LIGHTER than an old mini even...its actualy more or less in the same class as an isetta

some daylight shots....most of the front floor is gone ...everything behind the back seat is solid ..the construction on this thing is AMAZING ..ive never seen anything so well designed and built ..the rear quarters are removeable(bolts and screws) every part of the car ties onto the center beam

the front suspension is "ODD" at best it doesnt have control arms or struts its got an upper and lowwer leafspring with the spindles tied onto the ends..strangely enuf its got rack and pinion LOL

anyone know of a device that will alow me to use a 12v battery in a 6v car? so i can dink with the stock engine a bit

A friend of mine recently drug home a late 50s subaru that is about that size, hes looking into a datsun F-10 drivetrain conversion for it. Go dig in the shit pile and drag something out that runs and will fit. Thats a strange little car you have there, just get crazy.

i did a lil deeper digging on it and well EVERY panel comes off with bolts or screws includeing..roof,windshield area, fenders, cowl, rear quarts, fenders, floor skins, upper rear quarts, boot surround......soooo basicly you could dissasemble the car and store it in a normal size closet in the house...it comes that far apart without cutting..the largest part of the entire car is the floor backbone and it looks like it even comes apart in sections

Wow talk about bare bones basics as far as cars go lol. So it's a puzzle car? :D Take it apart put it in a box if you dont have the room and when you get ready to work on it put it back together and go for it. Well at least fabbing panels should be somewhat simple anyways.

what's the deal with the rear side windows? were there two (or more) options for length?
were some "delivery type" (i think that'd be the cats)? Are there clubs/boards for these things? Looks like you have your hands full, but as was mentioned before if you get tired of it you can just kick it into a corner for awhile :)

feel like some reading? http://www.oldengine.org/unfaq/six12.htm sounds like the main thing is to use a 12 volt coil and ballast resistor, starter and points should be fine. It'd be nice for the short term if you could isolate the "body wiring" and just fool with the motor unless you have a buncha spare bulbs around. acc'ourse when you get it running you'll need to upgrade the alternator/gen.

theres next to no information and the few clubs i have found are not specific to the lloyds as well there wernt many made and theres so few surviveing i found a source for the missing ignition rotor out of germany on german ebay(i always thought we were looking world wide guess we arnt)

yes there was a double rear side window a single side window(mine) and a panel/delivery...idealy i want to make it a delivery and then there was the coupes..they never made a 4dr ..even funnyer ..the way its built you could simply unbolt the roof and upper rear quarters and swap in the coupe roof and rear upper quarters and have a coupe..its simply that universal

as for the 12v info i thank you LOTS but wouldnt i have to swap out the starter too?..and well the alt there was never a 12v one made sooooooo

it may be an automatic but it uses a clutch and 4spd manual transmision it just has a vacume operated shifter and clutch operation ...talk about ODD

I should be able to find some good info about 6v-12v system conversion stuff at the old Power Wagon sites I used to go to. Give me a while to find them again and I'll post what I find.
