Hi all,

Ever notice that if you click on one of the items at the top left of your application window, like "file", "edit", "view", etc. that a dropdown menu appears? Then, when you're done with that, it stays primed to explode that dumb shit out at you like a jack-in-the-box.

Let's say I clicked on "file". When I get done with that, if I move the cursor a little bit to use one of the navigation buttons in my brower, I can't because those goddamn menus pop out at me faster than the speed of light. Is there any option I can set to tell it to JUST CALM THE FUCK DOWN, it'll be alright if it actually lets me reach a button? You know, something something that specifies a number of milliseconds before it reacts to the cursor passing over?

If this "feature" were in a videogame, it would be called "the shields of retardation". Click one thing one time and the enemy is fucked. They could no more reach your homebase than monkeys could launch the space shuttle, because the goddamn retarded menus pop up FAR FAR faster than any immortal man could ever click on a button.

PLEASE tell me there is a way to delay or disable this stupid shit!

click the word again like if you clicked file and you decide not to choose something in the dropdown, just click on "file" again or dead zone(hey dcf I ain't) of the address bar.

Good question. I have 3 xp boxes at home and one at work, and have them set up pretty much identically. 2 are nice and smooth and the other 2, while I hadn't thought about it act just like you say. A calm the fuck down button has to be in there somewhere.

Cant think of where it is right now, but you need to disable the "open/expand(?) when hovering with the mouse" function.
