I found a new motor and tranny for the 49, at a good price, but it is in Oregon....anyone running between there and here? (Sarnia, Ontario)
This is at Southern Oregon just off I-5 at exit 108....any chances??
 
I have a friend that owes me bigtime that runs a car transport in the greater northwest area.He has delivered complete Harleys in the back of a pickup in the past.Im not that close to you here but he might be doing something else that is.I can ask anyway. [smilie=e:
 
umm a flat head six...hmm might be entertaining but what are you running in that right now?...and wouldnt a 354 or 331 be more era correct and entertaining?(forgive me i love era correct rods)
 
I am currently using a stock d 32 or 34 flat head 6 motor. This one is just cheap and fresh.
 
I dont know if he runs north of the border or not-what would be close enough for you down here?
 
No he doesnt,eastern Montana is as close as he could get.I could get it here no problem but that doesnt help you much.It was a good idea while it lasted-sorry big guy. [smilie=e:
 
era correct? umm john got a 48 if i am not mistaken and the 331 did not come out till about 1951.. there is a few years in between there!

true but cloe enuf to make it count kinda like someone putting a 312 t bird motor into a 50 ford

much rather see that than a late 60's early 70's or newwer mill into something that old
