Here's how I understand it:

Before you can bid, you have to buy credits.
Credits cost 80 cents

But here's why it's pretty cool:
There are 3 ways to "bid"

Now, with your credits you can "bid" on items. But you don't bid the price up. You bid it down.
Every "bid" costs you 80 cents. Every bid decreases the price of the item by 25 cents.

The first way to win an auction is Xpress where you pay a credit to see what the current price is. They tell you the starting price.
If you're the first bidder, the actual price will 25 cents less than the starting price. If you're the 1000th bidder, the price will be $250 less (1000 x 0.25)

If you don't like the price you see, come back later and check to see if anyone else bid and see what the new Actual price is.. it'll cost you another credit to see the new price.

When you like the price, just buy it.... but do it before someone else does.

The second way to win is the zerO method where your goal is to be the last bidder that makes the price drop from 25 cents to 0.
When that happens, you are the winner and you get the item for free plus shipping costs.
Pretty cool idea and would be great if you could hit 0 with only a few bids... or even one if you're really lucky.

The third was is hard to understand, but it's called Unique bid.
The auction runs for a set amount of time. At the end, if there is a single bid for a certain amount, that bid wins. If there are more than one unique amounts bid, the lowest wins. So, say there are several bids for 0.00, 0.25, 1.00, 5.00.. none of those are unique because more than one person put in a bid at that amount. But if one person comes along and puts in a bid for 0.50, they win and the item cost them 50 cents plus shipping.

If you just want to buy stuff, there's another tab that's just a shopping portal.
