Improve the turning radius of ANY car.

Sure, I'd love to be in a position to be able to buy one, but if I could do that, I could buy a bigger driveway instead.... Or a car with a decent turning radius.

For shows, I get it. For the driveway, not so much...unless I had a Batmobile. Then, it's a must-have.

i actualy have a driveway where one would be usefull and have considered making one over the years....just never got to it

And we need this because?????

Has it become too difficult to turn your head and back up? Isn't this why cars have a reverse? :(

You wouldn't even need it to be powered if the design were low-friction enough... just push on the fender/quarter panel.

Well, they're usually for car-show displays. The ones my friend's Dad builds are by and large sold to auto manufacturers or SEMA-type parts makers. He usually delivers them straight to the venue. Apparently they abandon or scrap them after the shows, because he's sold a number of them to the same companies time and again. Why yes, that's where some of your bailout money went. I don't think they have provisions for transport of the turntable after the show's done. It's not a side business, either--it's his bread and butter. He's a busy guy.

If you've seen all the pics of 69.5's setup and pieced 'em together in your mind, I could see where one would be useful for him, rather than making a 20-point turn. :D

I can fully understand their purpose for displays at shows & dealers, because you want all side of the vehicle shown without having to walk around it. But for a private owner because he's too lazy to back up. :dgt:

68..imagine having one in your garage...so you could rotate your car to put it in a better work position.....

hell my long ass skinny drive way i can thread the needle with a 22foot trailer and a f350 4dr with 4 inches of clearance on each gate post...but backing down my driveway and parking into a spot is quite a PITA and very consuming of time...pulling them out is easy but backing them into there set slots is...HELL....id never want a powered one..just something simple....imo it would be almost as usefull as those wheel dollys on all 4 wheels

and thats a 20pt turn just to get a car turned part way around...fact is its often times easier to push a car out to the street (almost 200 foot driveway) turn around in the street and push it all the way back into the shop

I barely have room in my garage to walk around a car, much less turn it.

I would think, if you could find room for a turn-table, you should be able to find room to allow a decent Y-turn.

youd think........but youd be wrong lol.....i have a PERFECT spot for a turn table that would be usefull as hell...but me..id want it sunk into the ground all flush like

With our driveway, considering I'm now having to back the car down a dark, long driveway, I actually thought of one of these a couple nights ago. Backing down 69's driveway at night is a BITCH!!! :dgt:

(especially considering nothing he owns has functional reverse lights!) :D

Like I said, I've somewhat put the scene together in my head, and I can see where it would be useful for you guys.
