More than likely a leaky heater core. Not too bad to replace- same as a mustang or fairmont. My neighbor is 84, I have his dodge diesel dually in my shop right now for oil and filter and mount snow tires. He fell on the ice last week and needs surgery on his shoulder. Local Les Schwab wouldnt do the tires because they werent the correct size. I have always tried to help senoirs in the area but she is too far away. My uncle drives propane truck in Nevada Iowa, just north of there, I could call him. With a write up in the register she probably has a new car by now.;)
 
Pretty cool Iowa has a program like that. Hope she gets it fixed real soon:helpme:

I got the point, I'm just way too far to be able to help out on this one. I was serious about the condition of that Maverick, I thought rust and holes were a factory thing on them....guess not.
