If Chrysler ever...

My mommy said I couldn't so
brought a muscle car back and produced it for one year only, which on would you like it to be? I know this question is way out of line, but just wondering what muscle car would you like them to ressurect for one year...

thing your missing some"details" here....as in brought it back from all original parts or with a "new" flare?

I don't think they'd even consider it, to be honest... if they were going to do it with an original body style, it would have to be an E-body. They're the closest thing Chrysler ever had to a dedicated performance platform back then, and they're easily the most popular now (going by price)--so that's what they'd target. It would be the Challenger, for a couple of reasons: it was more popular when new, and there's no Plymouth Division anymore.

If they were just going to resurrect a name and styling cues, I would say they'd go for the Charger. They already did it for the concept car... you remember--the red one with nose that looked like an '87 IROC? The Charger name is arguably the most-recognized muscle-era Chrysler Corp. moniker, and the sultry 1968-70 "double diamond" styling basis adapts well to nearly any size vehicle... that concept car was a beast, if you've never stood alongside it. The car companies are all about whoring these days, so they gotta go with the girl everyone knows.

Like Jass said, Plymouth no longer exists or I woulda said Road Runner. But yeah the Charger (sorry the new one looks nothing like a Charger) would be the best candidate, or maybe a Hemi Dart :). Both would be great with original platform and new tech. As a matter of fact I've pondered this myself, "what if". This may well be the last run of retro "factory muscle cars" as we know them due to the way things are going with fuel and the environmental issues and all, would be perfect timing, but I seriously dought it'll happen.

On a side note, before Plymouth went down, I saw a Neon in a Chrysler lot with Road Runner decals on it. [smilie=f:
