I was watching this one.

But it just surpassed my max bid. Sad to say it, but I was considering it as a one-day parts-scoring jamboree. It's still a very profitable prospect from that standpoint, but more than I'm willing to invest to do it.

1958 Chrysler 300D The seller's description is both honest and funny. :D

Yeah, and letter-car trim always brings big money, plus decrepit as it may be, virtually everything's there interior-wise too. That's a lot of hard-to-find stuff all in one, big, happy "sell me off" package. AC and cruise-control parts are hard to find in any shape and command long green.

Plus, it also has a GM auto-eye dimmer arrangement on it that would probably be of some worth to someone with a similar-era GM car.

I spotted that one a last week as well, neat car that is for sure. I'm actually surprised it didn't go for more!

Considering the option package, I agree. I'm glad it didn't go to someone like me, really, because at that price I doubt someone bought it as a parts car. There was some discussion on a different board about the possibility that this could've been an EFI car... something about the wiring. I don't think there's any way to verify it, and the parts just don't exist (there's only one running EFI 300D in the world), but the general thought was that this thing is essentially missing only that item and it would be a fully-loaded car.
