So i am now wondering about adding a subwoofer to my peek-em-up truck

i just put in a pioneer deh-p3800mp head unit into my truck and now looking for a good sub. I mostly listen to ... well almost everything... heavy metal, rap/hip hop and country.

I know it should go deep for the rap stuff, but the country music i do not want to make it sound worse. (most here probably hate this genre) I think my dakota has the infinity sound system already in the truck , but i am not 100% sure. How can i tell?

I do not want to shake the hell out of the truck, just something to make it sound better then stock. I was debating on a 12" but i am leary on the size of the box and having it fit on the back seat. (should fit, but i want to be able to use the back seat sometime when the girl gets moist.:shifty:)

I am leaning on a ported box as well.

The power supply wire is already running from the battery to the back of the cab and the little fuse box mounted under the seat. So its fairly easy to hook it all up

Now a good amp to recommend would help to.

Jeesh, yah need to visit my basement. :D
Tell me what you want and what coin, and I will dig it up.

umm i want a 12" sub and an amp ... 800 bucks? or somewhere in that neighbourhood.

no sony subs. I heard they are good for using as a toilet. I was trying to keep the pioneer theme going....

Pioneer theme? going for the outhouse instead? :D kidding.
I have a 10 and a 12" Soundtream carbon woven sub that I will happily donate for a VERY small fee. I will check and see what is available for amps, k?
