So that I could buy this.

For Sale 1981 Chrysler Imperial 2 door hardtop The car is in great overall condition has 4 new whitewall tires, new battery, complete brake job back and front. no rust. It has the most luxurious interior Chrysler has to offer all power everything and leather interior. It will need the gas tank relined and a new muffler. The wipers and horn need fixing other than that the car is in great condition and could be that classic car you have been looking for to go to car shows with or just drive. The car was in dry storage for the last 30 years and only has 50,000 original miles on it. Asking 5,000. This could be a beautiful car with a little work.

Do you know if it's still EFI? The condition of the front fascia makes me tingle. They're almost all warped on the short legs between the grille and turn signals. Both of mine are, as was the fascia on the '81 I had back in '93-'95. The dash has obviously seen quite a bit of sunshine and the open headlamp doors are worrisome, but overally it's pretty swank.

I shudder to admit how interested I am in this car. That's less than $4K USD. What's coolest about it is that it's a J-body, so the F/M/J guys that want it are sending him e-mails saying "I wish I had the money" or "I wish you were closer" like they do for literally every F/M/J part or car. It'll probably be available for quite some time. 😂

Alas, I have too many irons in the fire already and storage is a real issue. I'd have to dump the blue Imp, which is really better-suited to my ultimate vision anyhow. This one would be a cool turnkey driver, though.
