ok theres a car on ebay going really cheap the seller stats it runs good and all . problem is theres a rust hole in the frame past the rear shocks here is the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...RK:MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=320130940044&rd=1,1 how hard would that be too fix ? or how dangerous is it like it is ? i am in dire need of a super cheap bveater to drive 16 miles round trip to work 4 days a week and nothing else . if i can get this car for the price and it wont kill me ill buy it :bwuhaha:. it make my life so much easier the valiant needs too much work done before i can drive it and the strain of having no car is breaking me finacially. so any advice woudl be very appreciated

If you are close jump on it now! it's still less than scrap price, worry about it later.

If the rust is behind the suspension it can be patched up. looks like a leaky hatch seal is the culprit.

Edit: I wouldn't go more than 150 tho.

oh no hehe definatly not if it stays there ill buy it

theres a picture of the hole on the ebay site i jsut want to know how bad that is exactly is a rust hole that far back gonna be really all that dangerous?

its 80 miles from my house lol

Yeah I'd grab it for a work beater. I didn't see a frame rust hole, only the one in the floor, and the one in the tail pipe. If it's behind the shocks it shouldn't be a problem anyway, just drive it til it falls apart

I'd say if you got assholed it would be a bit scary. what worries me more is "the rotors and pads are gone"

for an 89 anything up here in the rust belt that thing is cherry!

no kidding . the brakes thing kinda worries me cause i have no way to tow it anywhere. i might be able to pul something out of my ass but i wonder exactly what they mean by that. and yeah 71 i thought it looked liek it was in the floor as well . i mthinking slapping abid on it and saying screw it i know a guy down the street that would give me over 100 bucks for scrap for it lol

well the guy who bid before me had a max bid set up so im not going for it that makes me sad. bah i wish i could find a dodge spirit or some old k car for like 100 bucks lol .

aye all i gotta do to get it mobile(not drivable) is replace the right front brake line, the tires, hook the carb back up. bleed the brakes. and get a clip for the shift linkage and i can at least move it around on its own hehe
