I have met this guy and to me he is a jerk !! This car is just awesome but like I said the owner is a first class jerk. He had it at the local cruise early last year and I asked if I could hear it run ? He says yea if you want to wait until I leave in a smart ass kind of way. [smilie=e: I said NO Thanks I have a 383 that sounds good and I will start it for anybody that wants to hear it. So now this money hungry guy has a shop building him a Ford Thunderbolt and he has had this on Ebay 3 times. Last time it got over 60k but he had a buy it now for 80k !! Its jerks like this that run the price so high on these cars. I know its sweet and probably worth 40 to 50k but no he just wont be happy. So this time he got NO bids. Serves him right. The kind who is in the hobby just for the money and not for the love of cars like many of us who would die for a car like this. Ron

thats just sad man. I know some certain mopars are worth the money, but then its these people who ruin it.

I bought my truck for $700, it probably was sitting for awhile with that sign for $700, but i still payed that, cause i personaly thought it was worth a little more than that and i felt obligated not to barter. And cash didn't exchange hands until after we talked for almost an hour. Real nice guy, to bad he had to sell it (well, kinda [smilie=e: ) cause he seemed to really love that truck too, just didn't have the room for it. I think he was just glad it went to some one who wouldn't part it out or turn it into a race truck or something (a local dirt track has a 2wd truck division, there's two 71 chevy's in there...such a waste).

I hate people like that...

When I was at the local car cruise, last year, I was looking at a late model moostang. The owner, showed up, and starts spoutin' lies, and acting all arrogant, etc. (It was an older guy, early 50s, Id guess)

I just about told him to go get &@$%ed..

I'd give him $80K,in a heartbeat,if the '69 hemi RR that he hi-jacked the dana60 out of was tossed into the deal!,nice car tho',,just dock the chrome hood hinges [smilie=e: ,and then the price comes back down to a reasonable $38k

Those lifters must just flop around in the block, being that their diameter is small compared to a Mopar lifter. [smilie=e:
 
i saw a 520 Hemi build up in Engine Masters, where they took a 440 block and put Stage V heads and covers on, they said you could put "late stock hemi" covers on too if you want. Could be that, and i remember them using a chevy part in it too, but i think it was the rod for some reason. I dunno, gotta go dig it up through my "organized" papers.
