How realistic is it of me..

to be wanting a 1964 Dodge 330?

Some quick googling shows some high priced HEMIs, but that's not really what I'm after.

The first car that I ever remember was my Dad's 64 330.

Am I looking at forking out stupid amounts of money? I really just want a driver/ fun-field type of thing...

Those were just a few. There's others on there too. Trying searching just "1964 Dodge" instead of being model specific.

Yeah. After checking out those links, the 440 isn't quite what I was thinking. The C-pillar is different.

Don't get me wrong, I like the 440 a lot, too, but I'm looking at the owner's book for my Dad's 330 VD1-L and wondering how tough it would be to get a hold of another 330. His was a 4-door /6, but I wouldn't scoff at a 2-door V8. :)

My Dad had Plymouth's version of that - four door Belveder with a 225 and three on the tree. Light blue metallic with a white top.
That was the one that started my love affair with cars - that and the fact that "Richard Petty won his first championship in a car like my Dad's". I was a kid, leave me alone.

I'd love to find one in decent shape.

Gio, I think the slant six came out in '59.

My first mope was a 63 330 4dr slanty. Fenton mags and air shocks. Gave 50 buks for it and had to replace a few exhaust valves. The next one I acquired was a 2 dr post portland PD detectives car, Poly mill that smoked like a bitch because the oil return holes in the heads were crudded shut. 2 small dents and zero rust, plain jane grey vinyl seats with rubber floormats. I was working at a dunlop dealership at the time so it got G/T Qualifiers on cragers. Gave a hundred for that one. So what if it was 20 years ago.

well ive seen the leaning tower in 1959 trucks soooo

id snap that dart up lol but i like em light and fast

what was the "golden anniversary" year?
too many years ago I'm sure, but a small private yard in kansas had a couple.

1964, all of their 880 models were badged as "Anniversary Special"

The slanty first came out in late 59 and lasted 'til 83 in cars and 87 in trucks.

learned to drive in that car of Dad's DCF. i'd love to see it again. however, don't think it is realistic of you to want one..............
