Yup, Very easy swap. You will need to change the mounts because Trucks have biscuits while the Cordoba has Spools. Just grab em off your '83 motor (assuming its a V-8). Then you need to use your '83 pan, as Trucks are rear-sump while your car is a center sump. Kickdown will also be different, need to use the whole setup from your car.
Distributor will likely be different, as '88 Trucks had TBI. Use the one from the '83, or better yet, convert to regular Electronic ignition and get rid of the ELB Crap.
Then its just a matter of bolting it up, use your car exahsut manifolds for this.
IF your car is a 6-cyl, then you need to swap front subs. Any F-M-J-Body (Aspen/Volare, Diplomat/5th Ave, Mirdada/Cordoba) sub will bolt right up, just make sure its from a V-8 car. Any '84-up RWD car is an M-Body and IS a V-8, as the 6 was dropped for '84.
You can then pretty much source out your mounts from about any '73-'89 318 car (360 different, can make 318s work on 360 but not vice-versa). You also need a matching Smallblock trans, NON-weighted converter. Best bet is the 998 with low-gear from an '80-up M or J-Body.
Also need the 3-piece Kickdown from a V-8 F-M-J Body, as the 1-piece from a Truck wont clear the firewall. Then as said earlier, use the Car exahsut Manifolds (Any F-M-J-Bodys will work).
PS pump Will likely have different fittings from the Truck to the car, so watch out there.
The A/C Compressor, Alternator, etc will work with your car, though if its a 6, you will probably need to find a line setup from another M-Body, as the comrpessors both have different fittings.
There, did I cover all the bases?
