ummm original paint with white strobes?......what strobes?

no motor?...19k..and theres nothing left...clearly it was NOT a west coast car unless it lived ON the beach

It would never bring the money one invested in restoring it... it'll end up a re-body if anything.

No doubt about it. I once saw a C7 Fury GT V-code car (I don't know if it was the original paint) with a 4-speed in it. The guy had used pedals from a 3-speed base Fury. I'm not sure what he did for the floor tunnel, but it sure looked like the conversion was done well. I guess carpet hides a lot, though. It was at the Iola show in 1992, but it was not in the show. He rumbled past my lady and I as we were walking to the show, and we detoured over to where he parked. No vinyl, white strobes, black gut, aftermarket wheels and a B-body Pistol Grip. 'Twas a very cool machine.

WOW! Just Wow! on so many levels! Kick ass car but OMG the work!

I know the guy who owns that one...and 2 other V-code GT 6bbl cars as well. Yes they are super rare...only 66 made?, and NONE are know to be restored, and only a hand full are even know to still exist. I have personally seen both those cars, and yes they are ruff to say the least, but if I had funds to burn I'd go for the Black with burnt orange interior and burnt orange stripes...sweet looking car and rarer then most Hemi cars.

The Black and Burnt orange car was found years ago by chance by one of the guys on the C-body board. He was in a junk yard, in the winter, and noticed this car. Looked at the VIN and almost fell over. It was under a pile of cars as well! Dan bought it sight unseen and had it shipped to his place in Seattle. I'll post pics later.

Here's some pics of the X9 and FK5 car when found...

And loaded on the car carrier...

And this is a clone GT car that has been on the show circuit for a number of years...might be the one you saw Doc? But regardless the black on burnt orange, with burnt orange stripes looks amazing!!

This one is a PH29 car...note the convace back window. They never made a GT car with a concave back glass.....only the PH23 cars with the convex back windows were ever available as a GT.

No, the car I saw was a genuine V-code car painted Plum Crazy. My girlfriend loved the color, but "not on that boat". I told her to take a good look at it, because she'd never see another one.

burnt orange on black...yummy

I was going to say exactly the same thing! You beat me to it!.

Cow! The pics of the clone make my tongue hard! It could only be better if it was a 4 speed!

I Efin' love that thing!

Wow...a real V-code GT in FC7...wish you'd snapped some pics of that one. To my knowledge that one might be unknown....?? But converted to a 4 gear...cool!!

Like I said, I don't know that it was an original C7 car. It may well be one of the "known" cars that's been restored. I did have pics of it including the VIN, but we're talking nearly 20 years ago. They're long gone now. :(

I about pooped myself when I saw the V in the VIN. We (OK, I) followed it for the "440" callouts and the fact that in the traffic for those coming into the show, it was obviously a manual transmission. It was also the first C7 C-body I'd ever seen, as well as the first Sport Fury GT I'd witnessed in real life. The guy was very forthcoming about the car being converted to a manual; if I recall I said something like "I've never seen a 4-speed Fury!" and he responded with something to the effect of, "Me either... so I it made one!"

ive seen all of 3 fury gt's..and i do LOVE them...but alass all of them were in wreckers...and i never once checked the vins

Most people who even know about the V-code Sport Fury GT, and those are few indeed...most likely assume that those cars wound up in wrecking yards simply because they were truly unknown and no one cared to look.

"I've never seen a 4-speed Fury!"

I owned one. It was a 67 Fury III 2dr hardtop, brite blue metallic, 440, bench seat with baby blue "satin look" interior. The car came with an 18-spline A833, (I still have the trans main case) with an Inland shifter, disc brakes, 15" wheels and dog dish caps. It was only 2 years old when I bought it.

Of all the cars I've owned over the years this is the "one" that I wish I still had. My 64 Sport Fury w/383 4spd would probably be worth more, but nowhere as unique. :(

Also, some of you may remember Tim Spencer, username Hemidreams, who for a short while had a 68 Sport Fury "fast-top" with a 383 4spd. When he decided to sell it, I was almost drooling to buy it.
